Finally, a Republican mustered the spine to say what we’ve all been thinking, namely that Barack Obama doesn’t have our nation’s best interests at heart, and the he “doesn’t love America.” Aside from stating his case a bit too lightly, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani got it exactly right. Hardly a conservative stalwart, even Giuliani has reached the point where he can no longer remain silent as he watches America being systematically undermined and dismantled by a governing cabal that is inarguably hostile to every precept of America’s founding and seeks to reinvent it in a radical-leftist image.
Of course the liberal Democrats and their media lackeys reacted immediately, and with predictable (and contrived) hysteria. Apparently, we’re supposed to believe that nobody has ever had to endure such denigration as Obama, though it was from his own mouth, barely two weeks ago, that America and Western Civilization were equated to the hideous brutality and evil of the Islamists. Over time, we’ve also heard from Obama how it is “un-American” to oppose open borders, socialized medicine, and dangerously excessive government spending.
It must be recognized that the current media circus, like all others preceding it, has been completely choreographed for a specific purpose. Leftists know that they cannot objectively refute those charges against Obama. The evidence supporting Giuliani’s assertion is simply too overwhelming. So the Obama minions must revert to an alternative course, which is to deflect attention from Obama’s past actions, and refocus it on Giuliani. In the process, they intend to go on the “offensive,” making Giuliani the real topic of objectionable behavior, thus giving Obama much needed cover.
But their attack plan goes further still. Invoking the tactics of Saul Alinsky, they are working to “freeze” Giuliani as a political target, which they will follow by isolating him from the rest of Obama’s critics, and ultimately destroying his reputation and ending his political career. Every ensuing leftist commentary on him will be directed towards this end. Sadly, on too many past occasions such ploys have been successful.
Nevertheless, for it all to work, liberals will need tacit cooperation from notable Republicans. Unless the rest of the GOP can be stampeded from Giuliani, the attack will ultimately fizzle. Sadly, liberal expectations of complicity from Republican invertebrates have frequently been borne out. Already, too many “on the right” are distancing themselves from Giuliani, and by so doing, they give credibility to leftist assertions that his comments were horribly flawed and unjustified.
If this effort succeeds, the damage done to the conservative cause will be enormous (which is why liberals have so much invested in it). Imagine the chilling effect that would result, if the mere mention of Obama’s obvious antipathy towards America means political ruin for the bearer of such news. Ultimately, nothing Obama says or does will ever again be subject to accountability on any level. This is how leftists have thwarted real appraisals of their consistently disastrous past policies, and how they intend to suppress all political opposition to their detestable future agenda.
The good news is that the whole onslaught against Rudy Giuliani can backfire on the left, as long as he, and a sufficient number of principled Republicans, stay on message. It is a good time to be extremely wary of those, ostensibly on “our side,” who begin to spew pablum about “civility,” “softening the tone,” or “ending the rancor.”

During the course of his political involvement, he came to the realization that liberalism is alive and well inside of the GOP. And it is there that it must be overcome if conservatism and the principles of America’s founding are to prevail in modern politics. It was for this reason that he and Chip McLean established Rinotracker.us.
