John Boehner and Mitch McConnell are proving by their actions (most recently, relating to funding of the Department of Homeland Security and Barry Obama’s illegal executive amnesty) that they do not serve those who elected them. The lawyer cabal of which they are members have decided that their own enrichment is about as much bother as they can stand to inflict on themselves. Taking on Bathhouse Barry and his Marxist minions is what the courageous few will do, and even those are shrinking in number. Not so much from the attrition of death (Breitbart, Hastings, and Clancy notwithstanding) although there have been too many of those for it to be more than coincidence, but those leaders who stand in service of their oaths, America, and We The People have been very few in number to start with.
Isn’t it interesting that lately the news and Internet has been abuzz because a preacher dared to speak truth to power and openly criticize the administration for its egregious breach of law and ethics? It should come as no surprise however, for it has always been thus. The Black Robe Regiment preached from the pulpits of another era with a weapon leaning against the pulpit, fully aware that the call to arms was as much their duty as those in the pews. Kudos to Franklin Graham for standing firm publicly and placing his neck on the line, reminding all in power that they are answerable to a Higher Power that ultimately will be their righteous judge and jury.
Sen. Ted Cruz is also a clear voice whose only unfortunate circumstance is the muddied history of his origins. That discussion is for those of a higher pay grade than myself, although some would suggest that two wrongs might be massaged to make a right (Obama, can you hear us now? We noticed that you weren’t eligible).
My lament is underscored by the wonder of what has been brought into the stream of man’s history in the establishment of this great Republic, something very unique in our history as a species; a recognition of the Supremacy of God and we as His servants and recipients of His grace. We have kept true to the freedoms of the blessings of God by rising up when called upon to defend freedom and liberty in the making of war against those who would enslave us.
Our fight today is against a foe that masquerades as a religious group while acting as a political and foreign agency, taking the best of what our nation offers and giving back an insult to those very freedoms. Using our freedoms against us is a true usurpation of the vision of the Founding Fathers is not to be condoned or allowed. Our battle here is both external and internal against the Islamists who Jefferson noted the need to defeat resolutely anywhere on the planet to secure Americans’ freedoms and liberties from kidnap. I would suggest that now is the time to go and do likewise, and the best place to start is with the removal of the treasonous Muslim fraud in the Oval Office.
May God give us wisdom and strength to do what is right in the perilous days to come.
