(LOVELAND, Colo.) — A 65-year-old man is dead after being found shot on a sidewalk late Wednesday night. A joint northern Colorado task force is investigating whether it may be connected to two other random shootings in northern Colorado in the past six weeks.
Police responded to a location at just before 11 p.m. on a report of a man on the sidewalk who was bleeding. Life-saving measures on the man were unsuccessful. His identity has not been released, pending notification of other family and friends.
Police do not have a description of the suspect, but are consulting with members of the task force to determine if there is a link to the shootings of a female motorist on Interstate 25 in April and a cyclist last month.
The task force includes investigators from two northern Colorado counties and the FBI. There is a reward of $10,000 available from the FBI and a reward of up to $2,000 available from Crime Stoppers.
