Understanding that the tsunami of illegal alien minors on America’s southern border is an orchestrated crisis perpetrated by the Obama administration is not enough.
Understanding that the actions of the administration concerning this phenomenon is about the consolidation of power, rather than concern for these immigrants, or even short-term political gains is a beginning.
Understanding that this illegal and highly-coordinated ploy is amoral in the abstract and treasonable in the statutory sense is progress.
However, there is a crucial aspect of this crisis that must be understood; it is also one that has the potential to neutralize all sound approaches toward addressing the issue.
The reaction of citizens in Murietta, California over the attempted dumping of some of these illegal immigrants in their community has led to a national controversy highlighting either the line in the sand that Murietta’s citizens have drawn, or their bigotry and insensitivity, depending on who one talks to. Sympathetic establishment press outlets and Latino activists have taken the party line position, and are employing the boilerplate rhetoric one might expect pertaining to the deportment of the people of Murietta: They’re anti-immigrant! They’re racist! Viva La Raza!
And so on…
Last week, three buses carrying a contingent of illegal immigrants behind screened-off windows attempted to enter Murietta. Demonstrators successfully forced the coaches to leave the city, and the illegals were instead transported to federal processing centers at least 80 miles away in the San Diego and El Centro areas. Subsequent demonstrations and town hall meetings followed. Increasing numbers of these have included the participation of Latino activists and their supporters, and it is a safe bet that this trend will continue.
The impact of the deteriorating state of border security upon the residents of border states cannot be understated. Although it is not widely reported by the sycophant mainstream press, under the Obama administration, areas near the border have become increasingly dangerous places to live.
Given the events of recent weeks involving these illegal migrant children and the actions of the federal government (essentially dumping them in various communities to fend for themselves in homelessness) provided a frame of reference for the residents of Murietta – and it was apparently the last straw.
Rumors had swirled among anti-immigration activists near a U.S. Border Patrol station in Southern California that the agency would try again to bus in some of the immigrants who have flooded across the U.S.-Mexico border.
Instead, they got dueling anti- and pro-immigration rallies Friday.
The crowd of 200 outside the station in Murrieta waved signs and sometimes shouted at each other. One banner read: “Proud LEGAL American. It doesn’t work any other way.” Another countered: “Against illegal immigration? Great! Go back to Europe!”

The crucial aspect of this crisis to which I referred is this: We cannot allow activists taking up the cause of the immigrants and advancing the “racism” or “anti-immigrant” narratives to have a significant effect on the discussion. This so-called crisis cannot be viewed as just another constituent in the ongoing debate over immigration reform and border control. Because outside of the operational designation, it is not a crisis at all – it is an invasion.
The increasing activity of Latino activists, activist groups, and sympathizers threatens to divert attention from the central issues delineated at the beginning of this column, and we can count on them to advance those “racism” and “anti-immigrant” narratives all day long. They will demonize Americans who are outraged with regard to the Obama administrations’ manifestly illegal position on border control and the complicity of so many in Congress on the issue.
At this critical juncture, these entities are no longer citizens participating in the democratic process. They are enemies of this nation. Some may be deluded, and some may be complicit – but if they are aiding this criminal administration in its designs, they are our enemies, period.
It is also important to understand that prominent “pro-immigration” activist organizations such as The National Council La Raza embrace communist philosophy, and always have. Their concern, like so many left wing special interest groups, is the advancement of that philosophy, rather than the welfare of their so-called constituents.
Finally, understand that this is just one component in the plan to destroy this nation – a plan that has been long in the making…
We cannot allow the primal aversion Americans have developed toward being called racist or anti-immigrant sway us in decisively addressing this invasion, because it is for times like these that the left conditioned Americans to wet their pants over accusations of racism in the first place.
It should be no surprise that the administration primarily chose children to participate in this onslaught of illegal immigrants. Inhumane though it may be on their part, it is strategically sound. Should Americans maintain their resolve on the rule of law and ignore the accusations of racism why, what sort of monster could turn away helpless children?
