Secretary of State John Kerry is “deeply disappointed” Iran has denied bail for Washington Post journalist Jason Rezaian, four months after his arrest. Rezaian is the Tehran bureau chief for the Post and has dual Iranian- US citizenship. The situation is horrific, as being imprisoned in Iran is one of the worst places on the planet to be enslaved. But the treacherous John Kerry’s outrage is selective. What about Iranian American Pastor Saeed Abedini, who has been imprisoned in Iran for over two years? Not once has the Obama Administration made any overtures to his release, or factored it in to any of their dastardly dealings with Iran. But now all of a sudden, Kerry is expressing outrage at a journalist imprisoned in an Iranian prison. Spare the American people.
Pastor Saeed Abedini has been through a literal Hell on earth, enduring beatings, internal bleeding, and worst of all, a transfer to one of Iran’s most notorious prisons, Rajaei Shahr. Denied medical treatment for lengthy periods of time, he was finally taken to a hospital for treatment, but then sent back to prison. Why? His persecution, by prison guards and prisoners alike, has occurred because he is unashamed of his Christian faith. The godless UN has even chimed in, saying his continued imprisonment is an outrage. But where is the Obama Administration’s disgust? Obama has a pen and a phone, but if he is going to work to save a Christian life, it will only be because it benefits his agenda.
But now, John Kerry has the audacity to express distress at the imprisonment of a journalist, after failing to work to secure the release of Abedini. The UK Daily Mail quotes Kerry as saying, “The United States is deeply disappointed and concerned by reports that the Iranian judiciary has charged Washington Post journalist Jason Rezaian with unspecified charges, and that the judge denied his request to be released on bail.”
He also asked that Iran release Rezaian “immediately.” In the very end of his rant, Kerry does ask for the release of Abedini, but there is no question it is an afterthought. As the Administration has declared before, they’re working out a nuclear deal with Iran. Right. The Obama Administration is relying on a fatwa by the Iranian government, which declares that obtaining nuclear weapons is against Islamic law. Obama and company are believing the Iranians, who have threatened to wipe Israel off the map, with a religious declaration. The entire scenario is one of the biggest hoodwinks Americans have experienced in the history of foreign policy, as the Obama is openly aiding Iran in its quest to develop nuclear weapons, while giving Israel the middle finger. Americans have been duped in every way by the Islamist in chief, and his cohorts.
Obama lied when mentioning he asked to secure Saeed Abedini’s release last year during intense nuclear negotiations. Saeed’s name was never mentioned, nor was any deal ever brought up in relation to his release. Securing the release of Christians has and never will be a point of negotiation or priority for administration officials. Obama has said openly that the “future must not belong to practicing Christians.” Would this man, this traitor and enemy of the American people and Christians alike be fine with allowing an American pastor to rot and die in an Iranian prison? Absolutely. Pastor Abedini will perish if not for outside help. Just as Sudanese Christian Meriam Ibrahim, married to an American, received no help from the Obama Administration in securing her release, so too will be the fate of Pastor Abedini. Italians secured the release of Meriam Ibrahim, to the shame of a once great nation that calls itself “Christian.”
So John Kerry and any Obama Administration’s outrage at an imprisoned journalist should be taken as feigned and ultimately deceptive. They could secure the release of this journalist, and might be able to, but they will leave Abedini behind, unless it serves their purpose. No matter how many Americans work to secure the release of this Christian minister, it will fall on deaf ears. This Administration has IGNORED the Middle Eastern and African Christian genocide by Islamists. A Christian Holocaust has taken place throughout the region, as the number of martyrs doubled from 2012 to 2013. These figure was calculated before ISIS came on the scene, so the death toll is likely incalculable.
Pastor Abedini wrote to his wife in 2013, “But when we forgive, we pour out the poison of the enemy and of the devil and we don’t let the poison stay in us and we don’t let the poison make us into poisonous snakes! So that we don’t become like the person we despised and who persecuted and tortured us.”
America’s moral compass collapsed amongst corruption and a falling away from Christian principles. Pastor Abedini will likely die a martyr because he was deliberately forgotten by an Administration who despises Christianity. John Kerry has no feigned outrage to spare for Saeed Abedini, since he is of no use to him. But a crown in Glory awaits him.
