While conservatives in Congress would not be out of line in demanding House Speaker John Boehner’s severed head paraded on a stick in front of the Capitol for his skeevy deal with the Democrats over DHS funding and Obama’s illegal amnesty, Mr. Speaker is soiling his skivvies over a possible coup in the House by said conservatives who are sick of his treason: i.e., enabling the criminal Obama administration and its Democrat accomplices in Congress.
Well, guess who says they’re going to come to Boehner’s aid – assuming he can trust Nancy Pelosi as far as he can throw her wrinkled carcass – congressional Democrats!
You can’t make this stuff up…
(The Hill) — Tea Party Republicans contemplating a bid to oust Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio) shouldn’t count on Democrats to help them unseat the Speaker.
And without their support, there is no chance to topple Boehner in this Congress.
A number of right-wing Republicans, long wary of Boehner’s commitment to GOP efforts attacking President Obama’s policy priorities, have openly considered a coup in an attempt to transfer the gavel into more conservative hands.
But Democrats from across an ideological spectrum say they’d rather see Boehner remain atop the House than replace him with a more conservative Speaker who would almost certainly be less willing to reach across the aisle in search of compromise. Replacing him with a Tea Party Speaker, they say, would only bring the legislative process — already limping along — to a screeching halt.
RINO TRACKER RESPONSE FROM CHIP McLEAN:
So now the Democrats are ready to come to the rescue of John Boehner from those crazed, tea party types in the GOP who actually expected the speaker to do what the party pledged to do when they were given a huge majority in the House – stand up to Obama – and in particular, stop his illegal unilateral action on amnesty.
You would think that Boehner was getting ready to be tied to the railroad tracks like some stereotypical damsel in distress by some mustachioed Snidely Whiplash type character. Then, riding in like Dudley Do-Right will be Nancy Pelosi and company to “save” congress.
This says two things of course…one is the obvious narrative from the Dems and their lackeys in the MSM that all of us who actually believe that our constitutional republic should be governed as a (oh my gosh) constitutional republic are the fanatical, crazy people – while they (the Dems) are wanting to keep congress running so they can continue to do “the nation’s business.” With Boehner left in charge, it will definitely mean business as usual, and the taxpayers will continue to be hosed.
The second thing is the obvious one – what does it say about Boehner when the opposition party wants him to remain?
