While current press reports reflect that Islamic State (ISIS) fighters seized most of a western Iraqi town on Thursday near a base occupied by U.S. Marines, information obtained by Instigator News Network from intelligence and military sources on the ground in the area indicates that the base actually came under attack early last evening.
One intelligence source told INN that unless President Obama sends reinforcements, the situation could become “a real disaster. Aircraft can’t fly because of shoulder fired missiles in the area that already downed one aircraft.”
INN was also informed that the Marine contingent at the base has already taken casualties.
Although a Defense Department spokeswoman confirmed to Fox News that “heavy fighting” took place in that area on Thursday, and Reuters reported that ISIS militants had overrun much of the town of al-Baghdadi, reports concerning the besieged Marines have yet to be forthcoming from the major news organizations.
