There was a time when America could sit down to watch television and not worry that their morality or sexuality would be offended. There was a time when programs on the tube would reflect the notions that the vast majority of Americans held to be true and virtuous. That was of course a time when biblical morality held sway and families knew what was sacred and Godly. We understood goodness and knew what was praiseworthy and what was profane. Our guidebook told us the difference and we were not confused.
A similar circumstance to that described above existed in a place called Eden, in a lush garden wherein our foreparents enjoyed the blessings of God at His direct hand and not at a distance. He walked with them and conversed with them. They were secure and grounded, happy and aware. Then a question was asked, and a seed of doubt was sown. “Hath God really said,” was the interrogative of Lucifer. What is he holding back from you? was implied.
Sin entered the world. All things changed.
America was founded on the very kinds of principles embraced by earlier generations and mores found in teachings from the Founding Fathers favorite book. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob was revered and followed and the nation’s security was assured by this same Sovereign of heaven and earth. All we needed to do was have faith and obey. His yoke was easy and His burden was light. In our arrogant acceptance of the doubts of Lucifer we were led astray.
Have things changed today. No, in fact the teachings of those whose dedication was to the “first rebel, Lucifer” have been used to seed doubt and division, deceit and delusion across the land. Obama rules, not guided by the wisdom of Holy Writ but by the words of those whose dedication to Lucifer lead down the road to the destruction of the Republic. We made the same grave error in accepting him on wrong premises as the children of Israel did in making the handsome Saul their King.
Returning to our founding principles might be a start in the restoration of the Republic. Acknowledging our “sin” has real promise from the God the Founding Fathers dedicated the nation in service to. That promise would give us a fresh clean start with the promise again of the blessings of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Let’s start with ourselves individually and then watch as the nation comes back to life.
