It seems like each day brings news of a Department of Homeland Security initiative that weakens America. Former Department of Justice official J. Christian Adams writes in PJ Media that the DHS is: “reallocating significant resources…to sending letters to all 9,000,000 green card holders urging them to naturalize prior to the 2016 election….”
One can only wonder how they could all be eligible for citizenship now, since the rule is, one has to be “a lawful permanent resident (green card holder) for at least 4 years and 9 months,” to apply for Naturalization. Whatever. One can see the motivation, however; Adams adds:
“Voting patterns among immigrants from minority communities demonstrate that these new voters will overwhelmingly vote for Democrat candidates.” One thing’s for sure: the agency is always creative:
“One DHS official … told me DHS ‘intends to ‘recapture’ ‘unused’ visas from years past to grant more visas and LPR [green card] status. In addition to this ‘visa blizzard,’ the agency will allow folks to jam in applications during the blizzard, knowing that the visa applicant…is not eligible for the visa.” [Emphasis mine.]
Thus, they’re setting up an “assembly line,” to bring in immigrants of status “whatever,” give them green card status, then move them up to citizenship—by any means necessary—assured that almost all will vote Democratic.
This sleazy scheme is part of the White House’s “Task Force on New Americans,” which was launched only days after the president’s illegal amnesty of millions.
BTW: Judicial Watch reports that “Federal funding for [the] Mexican La Raza group…has skyrocketed since one of its top officials got a job in the Obama White House.” That’d be Cecilia.
It went from $4.1 million in FY 2009 to more than $11 million in FY 2010. That’s not counting this:
“Other federal grants awarded to the NCLR during FY 2010 were as follows:
$2,530,618 from HUD to provide housing counseling
$961,682 from the Corporation for National and Community Service to fund AmeriCorps volunteers
$793,158 from the Department of Education
$250,000 from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
The NCLR also received a $1,000,000 earmark in the FY 2010 for―capitalization of a revolving loan fund to be used for nationwide community development activities. The earmark was sponsored by Reps. Cicero (TX), Olver (MA), L. Gutierrez (IL) and Diaz-Balart (FL).”
The DC said the Task Force “held a briefing at the Soros-funded, pro-open borders Migration Policy Institute to push its new “Strategic Action Plan on Immigrant & Refugee Integration.”
Obviously, the “creation” of 9 million Democrat voters would devastate, if not destroy the Republican Party.
In a Fox & Friends interview of Adams yesterday, Tucker Carlson pointed out that, “Of the 20 states with the highest green card populations, 14 of those are holding senate races in 2016.”
Republican senators are defending seats in 7 of those states.
Two of those Senators, Kirk and Portman, just defied their base by voting to confirm Loretta Lynch—not exactly endearing themselves to that base. Among the 17 other GOP senators defending their seats, three also enabled Lynch’s confirmation: John Thune (SD), Ron Johnson (WI) and Kelly Ayotte (NH).
The GOP has to defend a total of 24 seats vs. 10 for the Dems.
As I said in an earlier piece, “The GOP’s Quest for a Losing Candidate in 2016,” “Unlike the Democratic Party, the GOP proudly fights its base.”
Two people are mystifying: Obama is the first. He has arrogance, the sine qua non of dictators, but no other would-be dictator sought to annihilate the country he’s trying to take over.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is quite similar: he has the arrogance to utterly ignore both his campaign promises and the wishes of the voters, just like Obama. And his actions, since ascending to his exalted position are destroying the Senate and destroying the country.
Why did he enable funding of the illegal amnesty? Why did he work so hard to get 20 Republicans to vote for cloture on Lynch? He damaged his party, the Senate, himself and the senators he cajoled into voting with the Democrats, who were unanimous, as usual.
Frankly, McConnell was more true to the voters when he was the Minority Leader: he got every Repub on board to vote against Obamacare. He somehow lost his way, since gaining power.
He’s evidently blind, or inured to what’s going on in his country. The millions of aliens Obama is injecting into our society will be impossible to absorb. Of course, we could always give La Raza even more funding, to help out.
These things are so clearly destructive, so obviously the acts of a president out of control, that McConnell should be just a little alarmed. Shouldn’t entire the Republican leadership be alarmed?
What is wrong with these people? This smacks of a secret deal—except what is the GOP getting out of the deal?
They should vow to ensure a conservative president wins in 2016, and he or she has a Republican Congress. Instead, they’re doing all they can to discourage their base from supporting Republicans, next year. And they’ll be doing more.
The simple mathematics of 54 Republicans being unable, under present rules, to stop a Democrat filibuster means every single thing McConnell does, until November of 2016, will require a compromise with Obamabot Democrats. That’s why he funded the amnesty and that’s why he passed Lynch. And it’s going to go on, and on.
For some irrational reason, he refuses to use the tactics Reid used on him: Recall that Dirty Harry (absurdly) called Obamacare a “budget measure,” so it could be passed with reconciliation, meaning only a simple majority is needed and—no filibusters allowed. The DHS funding bill—which the House passed with two amendments barring funding of the unconstitutional amnesty—was a budget bill. Why didn’t McConnell pass it that way? Obama would’ve had to veto DHS funding. No, Gentleman Mitch didn’t want to.
Reid also used a simple maneuver to change the filibuster rule to pass Obama appointees with a simple majority.
This should jog McConnell’s mind and make him take Mark Levin’s oft-repeated advice to suspend the filibuster rule, so Republicans could pass their bills with a simple majority. Why doesn’t he do it? Because he doesn’t want to damage the tradition of the “greatest deliberative body”?
That’s funny enough to make us all laugh until our milk squirts out our noses, like kids.
If you’d like to tell the Senate leaders to suspend the filibuster, here are their Twitter usernames: @McConnellPress ; the Whip is @JohnCornyn ; @SenJohnThune chairs the Republican Conference and @SenJohnBarrasso chairs the Republican Policy Committee.
