“We Americans are the ultimate innocents. We are forever desperate to believe that this time the government is telling us the truth.” ~Sydney Schanberg
There is an old quotation sometimes attributed to Euripides that goes something like this: “Whom the gods would destroy, they first make mad.” Since the deity mentioned is in the plural and a great many of citizens in our country worship government as a god, I’m going to assume the “gods” mentioned in the quote could very well be various and sundry governments – especially the governments we are forced to deal with on a regular basis: federal, state and local.
On May 17, there was a terrible loss of life in Waco, Texas (again), and lo and behold various government entities were involved. Of course, just like in 1993, the government stooges came out with a story in which everyone was guilty but them and they had no choice but to kill. We should all be aware that our government only employs those who qualify for sainthood, so to question their veracity is blasphemy indeed. I do believe that as time goes by, the government will again be proven liars as to the actual events in that parking lot in Waco just as they have been about every major event in which they have been involved. But, as worshipers of all things government, the masses are hopeful that at least this time their gods are telling the truth and are willing to bet their future and the futures of their posterity on the outcome.
Now, let me try to answer the question posed as the title to this musing. Our saintly government employees, especially the criminal gun runners at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) have spent billions of taxpayer dollars supposedly infiltrating the ranks of what are termed Outlaw Motorcycle “Gangs” (OMGs). This of course does not count the billions of dollars of other people’s money spent by local and state law enforcement agencies as they have aligned themselves with the BATFE in pursuit of a common goal: the demonization of these “gangs.”
Law enforcement entities have created huge news stories over the past few decades in which hundreds of these gang members have been arrested for all sorts of criminal acts. But, very little is ever publicly revealed about the outcomes of these huge “sting” and “undercover” operations. The stories of the multitudes of arrests of members of these gangs are all over the front page of the newspapers and front and center with the talking plastic heads on TV, but seldom seen are the dismissals of charges and the results of subsequent lawsuits brought against the authorities because of their illegal actions.
A prime example is the arrests in 2010 of those claimed to be members of the OMG known as the Vagos in Riverside County California. It seems the local District Attorney found himself embroiled in a very tight race for reelection. The sitting DA believed that a huge event depicting his and local law enforcement’s bravery and professional skill would insure his reelection (The Duke University Lacrosse team is very familiar with this scenario, perhaps they themselves were an outlaw “gang”).
In the case of the Vagos MC, the Riverside County DA and several accomplices in local law enforcement there accused members of the Vagos with attacks on police, specifically the Hemet, CA. police. After all, the Vagos were a “gang,” “outlaws” and “1%ers” according to the DA and his lackeys in law enforcement.
DA Pacheco spearheaded a series of raids against the Vagos in Hemet and throughout Riverside County on St. Patrick’s Day 2010, timed in the midst of several attacks on Hemet police, according to ABC News. Blaming the conveniently and previously demonized for crimes they didn’t commit seems to be a most favored attack model perpetrated by government on any who oppose their questionable actions.
Well, in this case, like the one against the Duke University Lacrosse team, the lies of the government hacks were eventually exposed. In August of 2011, Riverside County California settled a lawsuit with the Vagos MC and admitted, though they refused to apologize, the Vagos were not involved in attacks on police and cited statements by the former DA to have been “offensive” and “unfortunate.”
Just a thought; how many folks in Riverside County believed the initial reports of the authorities in the above case simply because the allegations were brought by a DA and members of law enforcement? How many in Durham North Carolina and at Duke University (88 liberal professors) believed the false stories of DA Mike Nifong and his cronies in local law enforcement concerning the lacrosse team simply because the statements were made by those who work in government – and we all know they are above reproach?
How many people in this country blindly believed the words of the police mouthpiece in Waco, Texas because they were issued by a person in “authority” with lots of colored ribbons on his chest and those statements are made against a group those same authorities have been demonizing for decades?
How many know that before the BATFE/FBI was involved in providing firearms to Mexican drug cartels, they were providing fully automatic firearms to Biker “gangs?” Yes, some of the same ones arrested in Waco. Why would government agencies willingly put guns in the hands of criminals like the drug cartels? The answer is simple: they hope they will be used in heinous crimes against citizens and because of those crimes the sheeple will willingly accept and support total gun confiscation.
It has been said that the BATFE and DOJ were in full panic mode when Gabby Giffords, a member of the US House of Representatives, was shot in Tucson because they feared the weapon used was one they had allowed to be transferred to criminals via Operation Fast and Furious. Didn’t bother them terribly that one of those guns was used to kill Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, though. They probably referred to his death as “collateral damage.”
How many people know one of the persons arrested in Waco was a retired veteran of 32 years with the San Antonio Police Department and also a member of the Bandidos MC?
A few years back, an attorney who retired from the Department of Justice and had served in several positions during his tenure, accused the BATFE of “institutionalized perjury.” I firmly believe that term would cover almost all government entities in this country today; federal, state and local. The very essence of government is the lie.
A government entity (BATFE) that has been accused of training its agents to perjure themselves in courts of law had 7 of its lawyers thrown out of a court hearing for “witness tampering, witness intimidation, perjuring themselves, and lies on the court;” provided fully automatic weapons to criminal cartels; lied about the raid in Waco in 1993 which killed almost 100 people including 26 children; paid a mentally challenged (54 IQ) man to work for them in Milwaukee and then charged him criminally for doing so, is the same basic government mindset used to demonize and attack so-called motorcycle gangs.
According to a Milwaukee Sentinel investigation,
“…they [investigators] discovered ATF agents/employees were using mentally disabled Americans to help run unnecessary sting operations; establishing agency-run “fronts” in “safe zones” such as schools and churches; providing alcohol, drugs, and sexual invitations to minors; destroying property and then expecting the owners to pick up the tab; and hiring felons to sell guns to legal purchasers. Worse, perhaps, in a wide range of cases, undercover agents specifically instructed individuals to behave in a certain manner — and then arrested and imprisoned them for doing so.”
These pillars of integrity and virtue at the BATFE issued a report last year in which they cited their concerns over members of government, including the military, who were joining these motorcycle gangs or their support groups. Within that report was the following statement reference OMGs:
“Their insatiable appetite for dominance has led to shootings, assaults and malicious attacks across the globe. OMGs continue to maim and murder over territory. As tensions escalate, brazen shootings are occurring in broad daylight.”
Well, excuse me all to Hades but isn’t the above, in light of recent actions in New York, North Charleston, Baltimore, Albuquerque, Tucson, Tulsa and pick-your-city, a very good description of the actions of the police in our country and our military in other countries?
So, again, why are the government alphabet agencies so concerned with the Biker community in this country, perhaps even so concerned they would resort to ambushing some of them in Waco under the color of authority? Don’t forget, back a few years, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) published a list of “potential domestic terrorists.” Included in that list were gun owners, Christians, former military, constitutionalists, Second Amendment supporters and other so-called anti-government groups.
Well, Bikers are well-represented in all of those groups. Christians have their own MC; there are several MC’s whose membership is restricted to Veterans; never met a Biker who didn’t have a gun somewhere near, and almost all of them have a burning desire to be free of government tyranny in their lives and the lives of their families.
If my goal was to foist a highly centralized, tyrannical, oppressive form of government on the population of this country, I would view the various MC’s as a very serious threat to my goals. I truly believe the powers that be in our present form of government fear not only the presence of the Bikers, but they fear even more the spirit of freedom they possess.
I am also convinced this government of institutionalized perjury is moving quickly to eliminate those who have the courage to resist the coming hell storm of tyrannical programs, all of which will be deemed “justifiable” and “appropriate” by the purveyors of lies and oppression. History bears true faith and allegiance to my prediction.
The “gods” are “making mad” those whom they wish “to destroy.” Isn’t it time we questioned who the real criminals are in this country?
One of those damned Radical Rebels of the 19th Century pretty well convicted those in government of their true crimes/agenda. Below is one of his quotes from 1894 which the Radicals Rebels of today could not help but view as accurate.
“We live in an age of active evolution, and the art of government is evolving like everything else around us. Dynamite is its latest and least comfortable development. It is a purer essence of government, more concentrated and intensified, than has ever been employed. It is government in a nutshell, government stripped, as some of us aver, of all its dearly beloved fictions, ballot boxes, political parties, House of Commons oratory, and all the rest of it. How, indeed, is it possible to govern more effectively, or in more abbreviated form, than to say: ‘Do this – or do this – unless you desire that a pound of dynamite should be placed tomorrow evening in your ground-floor study.’ It is the perfection, the ne plus ultra of government.” ~Auberon Herbert
