If there’s one thing we’ve learned from the recent string of racially-focused incidents between police and suspects, it’s that activists, the press, and even elements of our government will encourage jumping to conclusions to advance their “racist police” narrative. Such is the case concerning a recent incident in McKinney, Texas.
Following the fracas, morons with no information on the story whatsoever took to social media and claimed (with no basis in fact) that the officer involved was yet another “racist cop” with murderous intent.
Yet if you watch the video closely, you will notice a thug come up behind the officer and grab at his waist. That is why he pulled his gun. The officer did not know what the kid was doing, and had to be ready to defend himself.
From Louder With Crowder:
Rule number one when dealing with law enforcement? Do what they ask you to do. I don’t know about you, but when I was a kid, if an officer instructed me to stay put, I wouldn’t so much as sneeze without approval. Of course, some cops abuse the authority and that’s a problem, but the point here is that there is a noticeable lack of respect for any authority displayed here. I don’t know if it’s a generational problem, or an idiot problem… but it’s a problem.
The young lady featured later in the clip is repeatedly told to leave the scene, yet continues to verbally harass the officer. In what appears to be an attempt to escort her to the grass to sit with the other gentlemen, she initiates a struggle and is taken to the ground through a leveraged shoulder maneuver (not a ‘body slam’ as was claimed on Twitter), where she too, refuses to cooperate.
